Our research group works at the interface of chemistry and biology. We are primarily focused on using chemical tools to probe and manipulate biological systems, with potential applications in medicine and human health. We use organic synthesis, structure- based drug design, biophysical chemistry, and biochemistry to interrogate biological systems at the molecular level. A major focus of our research is the development of novel antibacterial and anti-amyloidogenic agents. More recently, we are also working on selective modifications of nucleic acids for biological applications.
