Using a combination of organic chemistry and molecular biology techniques, our research will be focused in the following areas:
Exploiting protein biosynthesis machinery for non-natural applications using stop codon reassignment.
Biophysical and biochemical assays for studying protein-protein and protein-ligand binding with a strong emphasis on fluorescence.
High-throughput and rational design methods to inhibit protein-protein interactions, primarily aimed at identifying novel antibacterial targets.
